Mexico
is an exotic, yet sophisticated destination for today's traveler.
Here you can explore ancient ruins and new delights. But whether
you're traveling to Mexico or the French Riviera, don't forget
the value of a dependable place to retire at night. Consider
buying a timeshare. Imagine after a long flight and the tiresome
drive from the airport you enter your suite, so comfortably
decorated it's as though they had you in mind when they designed
it.
Are Timeshares a Good Idea?
You've probably seen timeshares
for sale advertised nearly every time you start looking into
your next vacation. But are they a good idea? Yes and no.
Like any other major purchase, you ought to do your homework.
Generally, if you vacation once every five years or more,
then no, timeshare ownership may not be for you. But don't
let that dissuade you from the experience. Today, you can
try before you buy, so to speak, by renting timeshares.
Who Should Buy a Timeshare?
Buying timeshares
can be a great opportunity for the right type of owner. If
you vacation annually, travel frequently, and have the money
to purchase a timeshare than yes, buying a resort property
would be a good opportunity.
Ownership allows you to enjoy the perks of a resort
such as select tee off times, onsite spas, restaurants, and
discounts for local attractions. You'll also enjoy generally
larger, more homey accommodations. But one of the biggest
pros of owning is locking in your future vacations at today's
prices. What that means is you've purchased the right to use
a suite for as long as you own it. You purchase it once, and
then pay a modest yearly maintenance fee for upkeep and utilities,
and that's it. No more being presented a bill at check out
with a number of taxes and surcharges on it you haven't planned
for.
Travel the World
You've also probably heard that if you purchase a timeshare,
you'll be stuck going to the same destination year after year.
That's simply not true. Most companies will allow you to trade
in-network. Or, you can purchase a membership in an exchange
company, like Interval International, and trade your suite
for another nearly anyplace you'd like to go.
So go, explore Mexico, travel abroad, fulfill your wanderlust
and let your timeshare
be that familiar place you look forward to no matter how far
away you are.
